In the Renaissance art flourished for hundreds of years. It was a time of great inspiration and innovation. We see a great explosion of Christian art and this acted as a catalyst for art in general to thrive. But we see a sort of flip flop during this era. We see a growth in secular art amidst the abundance of Christians hiring artists for personal and church jobs. Artists trying to disassociate from the church and be their own thinkers. This was a big theme in the Renaissance and especially for Renaissance Art.
